Welcome to the THM! We are excited that you are interested in studying at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.

 GERMAN LANGUAGE SKILLS - for german-language courses

Language level for application:
In order to apply to the THM (Studienkolleg, Bachelor or Master), you need at least a certificate for the language level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. Applications below this level will not be forwarded to the THM by uni assist.

Language level for studying:
Before you can enroll at THM, you must have achieved at least a DSH-2 or equivalent certificate.

The THM cooperates with the Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) and offers German courses from C1 to the DSH exam for international prospective students and applicants. You will receive an invitation to the preparation course for the DSH exam.

Please note the language requirements for english-language master programs



The admission is the final step before you can begin your studies.

After you have received a study place, you will be informed via the applicant portal E-Campus which documents you still have to send to the THM by mail.

Only applicants* with an admission will be asked to send additional documents via e-campus.

For Master students the Office of Student Affairs (Studiensekretariat) is your point of contact.

Application for higher semester/change of university

Prospective international students who would like to be admitted to a higher semester at the THM apply directly to the THM. However, this is only possible if you have already studied and completed examinations.

Welcome Day for international students

The Welcome Day is the beginning of your studies. Approximately 10 days before the semester begins, you can participate in the Welcome Day.

There you will receive important information about your start of studies and get to know the International Office as well as other international students.
