Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short stays abroad for students (5-30 days) combined with a mandatory virtual phase (cooperative online learning exchange) of indefinite duration. The attendance phase takes place at the THM .

With our partner universities in Poland, Portugal and Spain, we are offering a BIP on the topic of “Internet of Things (IoT)” in summer 2025. From April to May we are planning 4 virtual courses and 4 virtual laboratory appointments in preparation for the face-to-face phase from June 9th to 13th, 2025 at the THM Campus Giessen.
In addition to laboratory appointments, mixed project groups are formed on site, which also implement IoT projects as a team in the subsequent project phase. The project results will be presented at the end of the attendance phase.
- You will receive information about accommodation from THM after confirmation.
- For successful participation you will receive 6 ECTS and a certificate of participation
- THM students are cordially invited to participate in BIP IoT.

Automotive Cyber Security Academy - Giessen
All information and impressions about ACSA !
In summer 2025 we will be offering the Automotive Cyber Security Academy (ACSA) for the 4th time under the direction of Prof. Dr. Rahamatullah Khondoker with our partner universities.
Virtual courses will take place from May-June 2025. The in-person course will be held from August 6th to August 20th, 2025 at the THM Campus Friedberg. For successful participation you will receive 6 ECTS and a certificate of participation.
Who can apply?
THM Master's students from the Degree Courses in computer sciences (e.g. CCCE or (business) computer science). Knowledge of IT/cyber security, embedded systems and Programmeming is advantageous.

Sustainable & Eco -Friendly Communities: A Blueprint for the Future - Friedberg
- For successful participation you will receive 5 ECTs and a certificate of participation
- THM students are welcome to take part.
- The participants work as specialists in their own study area
- Lectures are given as part of the online phase and tasks are provided to prepare for the week in Germany
- During the presence phase, the participants are divided into different groups and work as part of an international team.
- Each team will present its tasks at the end of the presence phase.
- During the week in Friedberg there are workshops, visits and lectures

Housing
In your application, you will indicate whether you would like to live in our student dorms or if you choose to organize housing yourself.
Since the housing market in Giessen is quite tense, we highly recommend staying in the student dorms.
Dormitories in Giessen:
- Single room
- Shared kitchen & bathroom
- Cost depends on the duration of the BIP (+250€ deposit)
- If needed, you can rent a student dorm starter box (pots, pans, dish towels, plates, etc.) for a small deposit fee from the THM International Office
