There are many different ways to structure a period of study abroad. A common option is a short-term stay abroad of one to two semesters in the second half of the degree program. This is beneficial because the foundational knowledge has been acquired at the home university, and some courses in the chosen specialization have already been taken, thus providing students with specialized knowledge that facilitates their studies at a foreign faculty.
