Erasmus+ Worldwide
ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility (worldwide)
At the moment, exchanges via Erasmus+ Worldwide are limited exclusively to incoming-Mobilities. Outgoing student mobilities can be carreid out via THM .worldwide .

- Support during the stay abroad
This includes students in all study cycles including the doctorate who would like to complete a part of their studies abroad. They can be funded for up to 12 months at a time.
Our current ones Erasmus+ worldwide (International Credit Mobility) projects with partner countries and universities.
Who can apply?
You can apply when
- You are regularly enrolled at the THM
- Your department at the THM has signed an Erasmus cooperation agreement with the host university - see partner universities.
- Your departmental coordinator certifies that you have made sufficient progress in your studies (e.g. approx. 90 CPs for 4th/5th semester)
- You meet the language requirements of the partner university
- You have recieved a signed confirmation from the department regarding your application for a semester abroad
- You are able to clearly describe your intention to study abroad in your letter of motivation
- You do not receive funding from PROMOS/HAW.International or other DAAD programmemes
International undergraduate students must be considered when planning: The stay abroad must not exceed 6 months and you must before departure from Germany make sure that your residence permit is valid at least until you re-enter the country!
What is funded?
You can receive the following funding for a stay abroad with Erasmus+
Erasmus+ Europe-wide
- Country-dependent, monthly residence allowance (Funding amount of the country groups)
- Erasmus+ funding can be combined with BAföG abroad and Germany scholarship
- Up to 6 additional subsidized travel days for sustainable travel (Green Travel) Total depends on the country and access to Erasmus Interrail ticket
- Special funding for first-time graduates, when gainfully employed disability, Visit with child, etc. (social top ups)
There is no legal entitlement to funding, a specific funding amount or a specific funding period.
The available places depend on the semesters offered by the partner universities. Offers may vary.
Erasmus+ worldwide

- Travel allowance depending on the distance traveled (distance calculator)
- Erasmus+ funding can be combined with BAföG abroad and Germany scholarship
- special promotion disability, Visit with child, Etc.
The financial support for Erasmus+ stays in partner countries was determined by the European Commission at European level:

Erasmus+ Worldwide An exchange via Erasmus+ Worldwide currently only takes place for incoming students. Applications from THM students at these universities are made via THM .worldwide.
How long can I go abroad with Erasmus+?
A study visit with Erasmus+ can between 2 and 12 months per study cycle (bachelor, master, doctorate).
Example: You spend one semester (5 months) at a host university in your Bachelor's degree, extend another semester (5 semesters), complete a Internships abroad with Erasmus (2 months). In the Master's or during the doctorate you are again entitled to funding for up to 12 months.
extension of stay
An extension of the study visit abroad must be sent informally by e-mail (This email address is being protected from spam bots! To display JavaScript must be turned on! ) be requested. Your department and the partner university must agree to an extension, and a new Learning Agreement will be drawn up. Use the Procedure for requesting an extension your semester abroad.

- Attend the International Office (IO) event "Part I How to Start".
- select suitable partner universities for the department/degree programme
- Discuss the choice of university and module with the foreign representative
- select up to 3 desired universities

Deadline in winter semester 20.01. (for a stay in the following academic year WS/SoSe) | in summer semester 15.06. (remaining places of the following academic year)
1. Prepare documents:
- signed confirmation from the department for the application for a semester abroad
- current certificate of THM & current performance overview in English
- Letter of Motivation ( THM Template)
- Proof of language proficiency (if required by the desired university)
- If necessary, declaration on honor Top ups (own signature only)

2. Application via the THM application portal SoleMove send on time.

- Attend the event of the International Office "Part II 'Tackling nails with heads' Application to the host university".
- International Office of the THM nominates you to the host university (GHS)
- Nomination will be accepted at GHS, you will receive information about the application there
Before stay
- Application to the GHS | If accepted: Letter of Acceptance (LoA)
- Online Learning Agreement (OLA) with Ask your departmental coordinator finalize (triple confirmed)

- Sign the Grant Agreement and submit the original to IO

- Have the Certificate of Stay - Arrival (CoA) signed by GHS in the first week of university
- 1st installment of the Erasmus grant is paid out
- If necessary, initiate changes in the Learning Agreement within the first 4 weeks after arrival (status: confirmed).
- if applicable, application for an internship abroad in the host country
- apply for an extension of your stay if necessary
After stay
- Have the Certificate of Stay - Departure (CoD) signed by GHS
- Complete the EU survey
- Transcript of Records GHS
- Recognition at the THM
- Fill out feedback in SoleMove
- 2nd installment of the Erasmus grant is paid out
What are the selection criteria?
Due to limited exchange places, we apply the following criteria when allocating places:
- Your motivation for a host country/university is clearly presented in the letter of motivation
- You have studied at least 1, better 3 semesters at the THM
- Your international coordinator certifies that you have made sufficient progress in your studies (e.g. approx. 90 CPs if you leave the country after the 4th/5th semester)
- You have the language skills required for the semester abroad
- You will not receive any further DAAD funding, eg from PROMOS/HAW.International
- The length of stay is at least 2 months
- The ERASMUS+ funding quota has not yet been exhausted, ie you have not yet exceeded the maximum funding period of 12 months in the current study phase (BA/MA).
