Who can apply?
All THM students
The following must be observed:
- The target university is a partner university of the THM (otherwise apply as a freemover)
- You have studied at least 1, better 3 semesters at the THM
- Approval of the Department S to apply abroad
- You have the language skills required by the partner university
- Your motivation for the target country/university is understandable Motivation letter shown
- You have demonstrably taken part in an intercultural training/module and/or the International Buddy Programme
In the further application course, clarify whether, which and how your services acquired abroad can and should be recognized. The contact persons are the Departmental International Coordinator n of their Department s.
International undergraduate students must be considered when planning: The stay abroad must not exceed 6 months and you must before departure from Germany make sure that your residence permit is valid at least until you re-enter the country!
What is funded?
THM.worldwide offers you a fee-free/reduced exchange place at a non-European partner university. For further financing you can, for example, apply for PROMOS or HAW.International-scholarship as well as for BAföG abroad apply. Information is available at Programmes/Funding.
How is the process?
1. APPLICATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE OF THE THM
You apply within the application deadlines via the SoleMove online portal.
The following application deadlines apply:
Deadline for a stay in the winter semester and summer semester: 20.01.
Deadline for a stay in SoSe: 15.06.
Documents required for the application:
- Confirmation of the Department S on international semester application
- current certificate THM
- current service THM (in English)
- Motivation letter
- Proof of language proficiency in the language of instruction (only necessary if required by the host university; please check this yourself on the respective Webseite of the host university)
- if necessary, enter modules: Desired and coordinated with Departmental International Coordinator n and a) Sign yourself b) by the Departmental International Coordinator N
2. AFTER APPLICATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE OF THE THM
- Nomination by the THM/ International Office at the partner university
- Application directly to the partner university
- Send Letter of Acceptance & fully signed Learning Agreement to IO
3. PREPARATION AND STAY
- If applicable, application for scholarships, e.g. PROMOS/HAW.International scholarship and foreign BAföG
- possibly visa application
- Clarify insurance coverage (health, liability, accident insurance)
- exit
- Return & recognition of notes in the Department and
- Reporting in the International Office
