FIT – Promoting International Talents InternationalTalents@THM

International students face significant challenges during their studies and when entering the workforce. Of the approximately 50,000 international students who graduate from German universities each year, over half study STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Despite their desire to remain in Germany and generous legal options, many graduates struggle to find employment in the German job market. Around a third are still looking for work one year after graduation.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports German universities in better preparing international students and graduates for the German job market. Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the " Campus Initiative for International Professionals " helps expand career services and support structures to reduce barriers to integration into the labor market. Within the framework of the Campus Initiative, the FIT (Promoting International Talent for Integration into Studies and the Job Market) supports the development of measures for study preparation, academic support, and ensuring academic success, as well as the expansion of career services for international students at German universities.

Under the name InternationalTalents@ THM THM prepares international prospective students specifically for the requirements of studying in Germany, supports international students in integrating into their studies, and promotes graduates in their transition to the German job market.
