CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION

By actively participating in the International Buddy Programme you will gain experience in an intercultural environment. At the end of the semester you can receive a certificate of attendance at the university for this purpose. This improves your CV and your application documents.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION

In order to receive a certificate of participation, you must have been active with your buddy and at least the three following conditions fulfill:

number 1 with tick
intercultural training
number 2 with tick
evaluation event
number 3 with tick Group event of your choice
Participation in an intercultural training
Participation in an evaluation event

There are two evaluation events (intermediate and final evaluation) during the semester.

Participation in a group event of your choice

- does not apply to information events
- International students can also have a workshop credited

ELECTIVE module "IBP Intercultural Competence and Encounters"

As part of the International Buddy Programme, you can acquire 3 ECTs for your studies. The Elective Module is offered at the Department MNI for the social media system (B.Sc.) course, but is also open to all other students. Participation and crediting must be discussed with your own Department beforehand. The document "approval procedure" must be signed by the Department for the crediting.

Important: For participation in the International Buddy Programme alone, no ECTs can be assigned - only in combination with the Elective module.

Module description “International Buddy Programme - Intercultural Competence and Encounters”

By actively participating in THM 's International Buddy Programme, you will develop your intercultural skills and, at the same time, your foreign language skills. In addition, you apply the skills you have learned directly in practice, learn to be a team player in culturally heterogeneous groups and develop a culturally sensitive attitude.

Prerequisites and examination performance: Active participation as a buddy in the International Buddy Programme and the creation of a written reflection report (at least three pages) at the end of the semester.
