The foundation was founded in 2009 jointly by the Gießen -Friedberg University of Applied Sciences (since March 2011: Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen ) and the regional economy. The aim of the foundation is to promote applied science and research as well as technology transfer between the university and industry, municipalities and associations in Central Hesse.
The Stiftung fit
connects the university and the regional economy
The foundation would like to provide targeted support where universities and students strengthen the region's competitiveness through innovative concepts.
invests in practical research
The Stiftung fit supports the establishment and maintenance of the Centres of Competence at the Technical University of Central Hesse. Only a sustainable research infrastructure enables targeted support for young scientists, which ensures the competitiveness of the regional economy.
committed to technology transfer
An outstanding concern of the Stiftung fit is to bring scientific findings and methods to companies in a timely manner. In cooperation projects between universities and companies, the results and processes obtained are directly implemented in products and processes.
