Starting a business not only offers an attractive career option, but also the opportunity to effect positive change. The path to independence requires patience and perseverance. At THM those interested in starting a business are offered a wide range of support - from the first idea to the early startup phase.

Located in Transfer unit THINK, THM 's start-up support, supports students, employees, teachers and alumni of the university in realizing their start-up ideas. From initial consultations on start-up-related questions to advice and support on financing options, THINK offers a wide range of support. In addition, THINK offers support in the area of intellectual property and patents, and connects start-ups with its extensive network and enables access to university resources in the early stages of starting a business. Above all, the coworking space in building A15, where desks and meeting spaces are available, the makerspaces in Gießen and Friedberg as well as that 3D printing center are an interesting opportunity for the development of ideas and/or prototypes for those wanting to start a business.

Regular THINK events, such as the Stammtisch think tank, the THINK Summits or the university-wide ideas competition IDEECO, as well as the formats of the Innovation and Startup Campus Central Hesse (StartMiUp) round off the offering.
