Cooperative doctoral programmes with universities in Germany and abroad
The Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen collaborates with universities in Germany and abroad, thus enabling cooperative doctoral programmes in various disciplines. Supervision is provided by both a THMand a university professor. The dissertation can be written at THM , while the doctoral degree itself is awarded through a Department at the participating university.
Cooperative doctoral programmes with the University Giessen or the University of Marburg
For cooperative doctoral programs at THM with Departments at Justus Liebig University Giessen or Philipps University Marburg, the admission process is organized Research Campus of Central Hessen
Doctoral certificates for all cooperative doctoral programs at THM with the University of Giessen or the University of Marburg bear the logos or seals of both participating universities and indicate the cooperative doctoral program between THM and the University Giessen or the University of Marburg within the framework of the FCMH.
Admission to the Doctoral Program
: Acceptance as a doctoral candidate is carried out in accordance with the regulations for the implementation of cooperative doctoral programs of Justus Liebig University Giessen , Philipps University Marburg, and the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen THM is required; the process is therefore conducted in two stages.
- an endorsement by THM and
- the application via the cooperative doctoral platform of the FCMH.
Final admission to the doctoral programme is made by the doctoral committee of the university Department .
For university professors at THMwho have been co-opted at Departments of the universities Giessen or Marburg, the application for acceptance as a doctoral candidate is submitted directly to the responsible doctoral committee of the university Department .
