Since 2018, doctoral degrees ( Dr.-Ing. have also been available in Central Hesse through the involvement of THM University of Applied Sciences. At the Graduate Centre for Engineering Sciences (PZI) on the Research Campus of Central Hessen (FCMH), THM , in cooperation with Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) or Philipps University Marburg (UMR), conducts doctoral programmes in engineering. This inter-university doctoral center enables doctoral candidates in Central Hesse to obtain the academic degree of Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in ten disciplines – from biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals to aerospace engineering.
