Can environmental damage be prevented in advance? What measures for protecting the population and the environment can be derived from the established facts about climate change? How high is the pollution level from a particular facility? What does this mean for the safe design of workplaces? With us, you will learn to find answers to these questions independently.
As an environmental engineer, you are familiar with methods and procedures for protecting people from physical or chemical hazards and the environment from, for example, pollution. Preventing or reducing these risks to people and nature is your task.
Studies
Study content
Having already acquired theoretical and practical foundations during your bachelor's degree, the master's program focuses on independent work, scientific thinking and action. Particular emphasis is placed on an analytical approach and the deepening of problem-solving skills.
You can put theoretical learning content directly into practice in numerous practical events in the lab. And not only that – you also have the opportunity to participate in real-world projects in collaboration with companies.
Upon completion of your studies, you can also acquire the additional qualification "Expertise as an immission control officer according to § 54 BImSchG".
