Media production – where technology meets creativity

In the Media Production specialization, you will work with the modeling, shading, rendering, and animation of computer graphics to create realistic or stylized 3D worlds. Furthermore, you will learn to conceptualize, produce, and optimize audiovisual media, such as video clips, from scratch for various platforms. Your studies cover all production phases – from planning and filming to post-production.

The ability to efficiently plan production processes and to use IT-based systems in a targeted manner makes you fit for diverse tasks in the media industry – be it in film production, advertising or interactive applications.

Web and mobile applications – developing everyday helpers

Whether social networks, streaming services, or interactive apps – modern web and mobile applications have become indispensable in our daily lives. In your studies, you will learn to design and program such applications from scratch and optimize them for various devices. This includes design, database connectivity, and cybersecurity, as well as developing user-friendly apps for smartphones and tablets.

Game Development and Artificial Intelligence – Designing Interactive Worlds

Games are a fascinating pastime, a growing market, and a driving force for innovation. In media informatics, you will develop 2D and 3D games, create virtual worlds and interactive media for various platforms, including mobile apps. Among other things, you will learn to program game mechanics, integrate animations, and implement modern graphic effects.

Artificial intelligence is also playing an increasingly important role in all areas of media informatics. During your studies, you will gain initial insights into these technologies and their potential applications.

Hands-on learning – your path to media informatics

Your studies combine sound theoretical foundations with application-oriented practice. Many courses include exercises, projects, or laboratory work in which you work with current software and hardware.
