In this predominantly English-language Master's program, you will learn to identify sustainability-relevant fields of action in various industries and to develop innovative technical or entrepreneurial solutions.
As a graduate, you will be able to design, implement, and effectively communicate sustainability strategies. You will facilitate constructive dialogue between decision-makers and stakeholders and successfully guide organizations through the transformation process. Shape a future worth living in by actively developing and implementing positive change in a wide range of companies, NGOs, and other sectors.

Acquire and deepen comprehensive expertise and interdisciplinary approaches to achieve sustainability goals aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). You will learn how to integrate technical, economic, and social aspects through systems thinking and develop innovative solutions for the challenges of the future. Through practical projects and interdisciplinary teamwork, you will gain valuable skills in transformation processes, in line with the principles of challenge-based learning. As graduates, you will directly apply the experience gained from addressing these challenges to companies, organizations, and NGOs, enabling you to act purposefully as a driver of change in the global sustainability debate.

Sustainability already plays a central role in the economy, industry, and society. This will be significantly intensified in the future due to the major transformation challenges (energy and raw materials transition, climate protection, mobility transition, and others).
Successful completion of the Master's program opens up diverse and interesting career opportunities in various industries. As a change agent, you will possess comprehensive qualifications that enable you to successfully integrate the technical, economic, and social aspects of sustainability into companies and institutions. This will allow you to implement targeted, relevant, meaningful, and sustainable transformation processes.
Possible fields of activity:
- Sustainability management: You develop and implement strategies to achieve environmental and climate goals in companies and organizations.
- Project management: In this role you will lead transformation projects - from product development to the sustainable redesign of production and supply chains.
- Product development and innovation: They design sustainable products and services and develop innovative business areas.
- Change processes: They drive the transformation of companies towards sustainable business practices, sustainable products and technologies.
- Consulting and advisory services: They support companies and organizations in finding and implementing sustainable solutions for complex challenges, whether in the field of environmental technology, renewable energies or circular economy.
- Research and Development: In this role, you will work on innovative technologies and concepts that enable a sustainable future, for example in the areas of mobility, energy or resource management.
- NGOs and international organizations: As part of non-governmental organizations or global institutions, you can contribute to the design and implementation of sustainability initiatives at the regional, national and global levels.
