Biomedical engineering deals with the research and development of methods and systems for the early detection, diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation of diseases. Biomedical engineering is a multidisciplinary field of engineering whose contributions make it an excellent partner for medical research and the relevant industrial sectors.
The department maintains national and international contacts with universities, research institutions, companies and professional associations and offers students the opportunity to assist in current topics in biomedical engineering.
