Regular semester sessions will resume in the 2021 spring semester. To quicken the introduction of this degree course, admission will be granted to a group of students this upcoming 2020-21 autumn semester. This group will take curriculum modules for year one in the reverse order: they will first complete the modules normally offered at the end of year one, and then - together with the first regular degree course group - the modules planned for the very first semester.

Digital Business, the creation of new digital activities and the digitization of existing structures, has significant and functionally wide sweeping effects on companies of all sizes  and in all sectors as well as on public and nonprofit institutions. Business in central Hesse and in Germany as a whole is now in a sustainable transformation process, which will open up a wide variety of opportunities for companies involved in global competition, but will not be without risks.

Digital technologies and plans will render possible new applications, products and services, which will also involve the establishment and/or the continuing development of new and existing processes and organizational structures, strategies and business models. At the same time, the requirements placed on every organization differ greatly, which is due to the individual, often complex and dynamic market situation in terms of existing structures, legal specifications, customer requirements and competitors.  A knowledge of sustainable configuration options in digital business and the correct prioritization and implementation of necessary action may be available but is often unsatisfactory.

The solution to this business challenge is the added value and the unique nature of our postgraduate course in Digital Business. Graduates of the course will possess the necessary holistic understanding of business processes and how they are linked together. They will also have the required knowledge of digital schemes and systems as well as the skills to evaluate and integrate current digital developments.
