Mechanical Engineering is one of Germany's leading industrial sectors. It deals with the development, design, manufacture and operation of machines, facilities and entire plants (including vehicles, motors, robots, power plants, machine tools, heating and fluidic systems as well as the relevant materials and manufacturing methods).
Course specialization areas that students select at the end of year two include Machine Systems and Design, Energy and Drive Engineering, Mobility and Lightweight Construction as well as Materials and Manufacturing Engineering.
