The postgraduate course in Digital Medicine focuses on topics relevant for digitalization in the health care sector. It builds on the undergraduate course in the same subject. The course qualifies graduates for academic research work and tasks involving strategic planning and management in the field of digital medicine. The programme is divided into three specializations: Medical Data Science, Applied Medical Sciences and Regulatory Affairs Management.

Technical advances and the digitalization of communication and processes does not stop in the medical field. Constantly increasing amounts of data and the networks required for these data offer unexpected new opportunities for diagnostics, therapy and prevention. We want to help shape these new opportunities together with doctors and others in the health care system. For this purpose, our learning hospital (BDH), the only one of its kind in Germany, and the laboratories in our state-of-the-art simulation clinic in the Department of Health Sciences in Giessen provide an excellent foundation.
