The addition of another semester to the undergraduate courses offered in StudiumPlus from the 2017-18 autumn semester (from six to seven semesters), will also affect changes to the coop programme's postgraduate courses. The Hessian Higher Education Act requires that, taken together, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes shall comprise no more than five years (ten semesters). For this reason, from the 2021-22 autumn semester, the duration of study for the postgraduate courses will be reduced by one semester (from four to three semesters). The next course will begin in the 2021 spring semester. Relevant transitional provisions will be made to ensure a seamless transition for both graduates of the three-year undergraduate courses (180 credit points) and graduates of courses lasting three and a half years (210 credit points) who want to begin the relevant postgraduate course.
Sales engineers are responsible for the marketing of industrial products. They represent an important link between their company and industrial customers. For the successful marketing of products, most of which are highly complex, it is necessary to combine this task with both technical knowledge and communicative abilities.
In this postgraduate course students acquire the knowledge and skills that will help them to gain a thorough understanding of the complex tasks in sales, understand the application related problems of the company's customers, analyse the sales process itself, and to develop and implement the relevant sales processes.

Note | The addition of another semester following year three of the undergraduate courses in the StudiumPlus programme (starting in the 2017-18 autumn semester) will require that the regular completion time for the postgraduate courses in the StudiumPlus programme also be adjusted accordingly. The Higher Education Act for the state of Hesse stipulates that that the combined completion time for undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses may last no longer than five years. For this reason, beginning in the 2021-22 autumn semester, the regular completion time for postgraduate courses in the StudiumPlus programme will be reduced from two to one and a half years (three semesters). Transition models will be put in place to ensure that both graduates of the three-year undergraduate course (180 credit points) and those of the three and a half year course (210 credit points) will be able to make a smooth transition to a postgraduate course. |
