In the course of the project "ECO2 - energy concept for a CO2-neutral university" an energy saving competition was held at the THM . The awareness of the employees and students of the university should be strengthened on the subject of energy saving, so that environmentally conscious action at work or study is consolidated in the long term.

Within a heating period (November 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018), electricity, heat and water consumption of the buildings were measured and compared with the heating months of the previous year (November 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017). The regular statistics on the homepage and in circular mails showed the participants what changes had occurred compared to the previous year and what position they were occupying.

The award ceremony took place as part of the “1. THMEnergy Day” on June 5th, 2018.
