THMPresident Günther Grabatin (2nd from left) is pleased with the successful planting together with Vice President Olaf Berger, Elisabeth Kraft, Ingrid Fischer, Vice President Axel Schumann and Andreas Heines (from left to right)The TH Mittelhessen is not only participating in the programme of the State Garden Show in Giessen . It is also demonstrating its good neighborly relations with the "Science People's Park" in the Wieseck floodplain on its own grounds. In front of the president's residence in the Ostanlage , six "artistic guideposts" confirm to passersby that they are on the right track.

A total of 40 decorative poles are currently being planted at the THMcampuses Giessen , Friedberg, and Wetzlar as a greeting to the upcoming State Garden Show. Anke Roos, the university's alumni coordinator, initiated the project at the suggestion of a former professor. Members of the Departments , administration, and the presidium participated in the design process. They received support from Gabriele Heinz, who teaches fine arts courses at the university.
