Hans-Heinrich Bernhard, board member of Volksbank Mittelhessen, presented an internet terminal to the Giessen -Friedberg University of Applied Sciences. The station, which cost approximately €4,300, is located in the foyer of the university's main building in Giessen .

Although there are already a few hundred internet access in the central library and in the Department , which the students could use, they are often only accessible in connection with courses, according to Prof. Dr. Harald Danne. The FH Vice President pointed out that guests of the university now also received free access to the network in a central position. This is an additional service, especially for visitors to the "information", which is also housed in the foyer.

Danne thanked the Volksbank for the donation. The two institutions are linked by a long-standing, constructive partnership, which is also reflected in the fact that a member of the Volksbank board has been a member of the University Council of the University of Applied Sciences from the very beginning.
