"Labor Law and Human Resources Management" is the topic of the public lecture series at the University of Applied Sciences in Friedberg this summer semester. The focus is on current issues of data protection for employees. The programme is organized by Prof. Dr. Friedrich-Karl Feyerabend from the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences. The cooperation partner is Hajo Köppen, the Data Protection Officer at the University of Applied Sciences Giessen -Friedberg.
At the start on April 14, lawyer Dr. Götz Gerlach under the title "From the beginning to the end" on "Employment and termination agreements in practice".
On April 21, a lecture will deal with “The General Equal Treatment Act in Labor Law Practice”. Speaker is lawyer Ellen Schusser-Backhaus.
On April 28, lawyer Jörg Leidner discusses “The Protection against Dismissal Act in Labor Law Practice”.
Prof. Dr. On May 5th, Martina Voigt (FH Frankfurt) will focus on the topic of “Women and men in salary and promotion negotiations”.
On May 19, Hajo Köppen will speak about "data protection reports as a bubbling source of information for employers and employee representatives" and will present that "ZAfTDa.de project" at the FH Giessen -Friedberg.
On May 26, Friedrich-Karl Feyerabend and Olaf Berger, head of the FH central department for Human Resources and Organization, will talk about "Participation rights of the works and staff council in questions of work organization and working time models".

On June 16, Günther Sreball, Head of Department at the Darmstadt Regional Council, will provide information on "corporate control by the data protection authorities in practice".
At the end of the series, on June 23, the topic “Employee Data Protection Act – has been on hold for 30 years. What next?” on the programme. The speaker is data protection specialist Roland Schäfer.
The lectures, which also offer an opportunity for discussion, take place on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in room C10 of the University of Applied Sciences in Friedberg (Wilhelm-Leuschner-Str. 13). Participation is free of charge, registration is not required. All interested are welcome.
