"Making Radiation Particles Visible" is the title of an experimental lecture at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Giessen . We are constantly exposed to natural background radiation everywhere we go. With the cloud chamber, invented in 1895, ionizing particles can be observed and distinguished from one another.
Mandy Klingebiel, a graduate engineer and research associate at the Institute for Medical Physics and Radiation Protection, will explain the structure and function of the cloud chamber and demonstrate astonishing experiments. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 6th, at 6:30 p.m. in Building A, Lecture Hall A 815 of the THM in Giessen (Wiesenstraße 14).
