Experience university, get to know Degree Courses : the University Information Days (HIT) of the Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) and the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) offer another opportunity to do just that on January 25th and 26th, 2012. Students in grades 11 to 13 will gain insight into a diverse range of undergraduate degree programmes. These range from the natural sciences, engineering, and life sciences to social sciences, law, economics, humanities, and cultural studies, as well as teacher training and dual Degree Courses .

The eleven Department and various other institutions of JLU, as well as the THM in Giessen , Friedberg, and Wetzlar, present their profiles to anyone interested in studying. Prospective students can visit one subject each over two days, listen to presentations on the structure and content of the courses, and find out about research projects. They can talk to professors and students about the courses and their requirements, attend a seminar or lecture, observe an experiment in the laboratory, and tour institutes. There are also central events on topics such as the application and admissions procedures, teacher training degree courses and combined bachelor's Degree Courses , study financing, studying abroad, and studying with a disability.

During the university information days, the students of tomorrow have the opportunity to check their ideas about the requirements and content of Degree Courses and to correct any false expectations. You gain a realistic picture of the course and the university and thus increase the chance of making the right individual decision when choosing a course later.
