The Bachelor's and Master's graduates of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering receive their certificates during a ceremony. 36 Bachelor's and 14 Master's degrees: The graduates from the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering (EI) of the graduating classes of 2024/25 celebrated their successful completion of studies at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM).

Nearly all graduates have already found permanent employment, most of them at the company where they wrote their thesis. The majority are thus remaining in the Central Hesse region. This underscores both the importance of THM for the local economy and the demand for skilled workers in local industry, along with the resulting excellent job prospects for graduates.

The top graduates of the Department received a special award from the Electrical Engineering Support Association, presented by Prof. Dr. Thomas Glotzbach. The best theses from the Bachelor's and Master's programmes were awarded the Friedrich Dessauer Prize of the VDE Rhein-Main (Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies), represented by Dr. Bernhard Schild.

Simon Hotopp is the top bachelor's graduate, Thorben Grieger the top master's graduate. Kevin Becker and Thorben Grieger received the VDE prize for their top-rated master's theses. Jonas Grajetzki was recognized for his bachelor's thesis.

Karina Schwabenland received an award for her voluntary commitment as an active member of the student council and as a student representative in the self-governing bodies of the Department and the university.

The keynote address, entitled "Low Earth Orbit – Communication with the Stars," was given by Daniel Walter, Head of Teleport Engineering and Operation at Media Broadcast Satellite GmbH. Musical accompaniment for the ceremony was provided by a department band.
