International experts for energy systems met on the THM campus in Friedberg. More than 30 scientists from Germany, Russia, Italy, Argentina and the Ukraine met at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Friedberg. The topic of her workshop was "Intelligent strategies for controlling electrical energy systems, grids and drives."

Prof. Dr. Alexander Kuznietsov from the Department of Information Technology – Electrical Engineering – Mechatronics. The lectures were primarily about making modern electrical energy networks, drive and storage systems more efficient and safer. The speakers paid particular attention to networked systems, which are of great importance for the digitalization of the economy (Industry 4.0).

In the central lecture, Prof. Alexey Anuchin from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute spoke about current trends in sensorless control in drive technology. Alexej Kiselev and Sergej Kondratiev, who are both doing their doctorates at THM , also had the opportunity to present their research results to an international audience of experts. They presented their work on the control of synchronous motors and the application-oriented analysis of lithium-ion batteries. The event was supplemented by an exhibition by industrial companies in the region.

Doctoral student Sergej Kondratiev presented his work on lithium-ion batteries.Kuznietsov was very satisfied with the workshop, which he had organized for the fifth time on the Friedberg campus: "The quality of the lectures corresponds to the level of the best international conferences. With the event, we give our master's and doctoral students, scientists and industrial partners the opportunity to deal with current and exciting research results at the THM in Friedberg". We already have many registrations for the coming year. The aim is to set up an international network from which stable international research cooperation can develop.
