With ten years of professional experience as Head of Strategic Controlling at Stalibus SE from Koblenz, Kachel has many practical insights for teaching. His academic roots also go back to Koblenz, where he successfully completed his Bachelor in Business Administration from 2005 to 2010 and then completed the Master in Business Management.

After completing his master's degree - his master's thesis was awarded praising recognition - from 2011 to 2017, Kachel devoted himself to strategic controlling at the university. His dissertation: An analysis of the expression and use of controlling instruments for strategic control based on empirical case studies.

But he also demonstrated his knowledge in professional stations such as Thyssenkrupp and Rasselstein at professional stations. At the same time, he worked in Siegen as a research assistant at the chair for corporate management. His scientific interest focuses primarily on controlling in small and medium-sized companies and the use of controlling instruments.

In addition, Prof. Dr. Kachel participates in research and development projects that dealt with strategic transmission and strategic controlling. Projects for digitization, in particular the influences on controlling instruments and their use, were also one of his focus. In addition, there were studies on behavioral controlling.

His publications include titles such as "The selection of controlling instruments for strategy transmission in medium-sized family businesses" and "Life Cycle Costing in Corporate Practice".
