Kristina Marko, a tenth-semester architecture student at the Giessen -Friedberg University of Applied Sciences, has been awarded a scholarship from the renowned architecture magazine "Detail." The 27-year-old from Lahntal will receive €500 per month for a maximum of three years. The programme also includes four internships at prominent international architecture firms and in industry. "Detail" organizes a workshop for scholarship recipients once a year.

Sixty applications were received for the scholarship, which was offered for the first time. Kristina Marko, who has already won several architecture competitions, was selected after an interview, along with three other applicants from the Technical University of Munich, RWTH Aachen University, and ETH Zurich. The scholarship programme is supported by the Sto Foundation.

The jury was impressed by Kristina Marko's excellent and unconventional designs. She deserved the scholarship because she works hard towards her goals, shows a great deal of practical commitment, and yet remains a team player.
