Prof. Dr. Regina Conradt started working at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen . At the Health Department , she teaches medical computer science with a focus on digital medicine.
Regina Conradt studied biology and human biology and completed both Degree Courses at the Philipps University Marburg with the diploma. At Department of Medicine in Marburg, she received his doctorate in Dr. rer.physiol. As part of her dissertation, she carried out electrophysiological examinations on subjects in order to gain data on sleepiness and response time. The determined values of untreated and already in therapy patients with sleep -related breathing disorders compared them to those healthy test subjects. In this way, she was able to demonstrate the effectiveness of certain therapeutic measures against breathing disorders in sleep.
As a scientist, she initially worked in the sleep medicine laboratory at Marburg University Hospital before moving to the Department of Primary Health Care at the University of Oxford. In England she moved to a medical device company in 2005 and became self-employed in 2006. She supported companies in introducing medical devices and was involved in Professional Development for doctors in sleep medicine worldwide. She was working at the Respiratory Support and Sleep Center in Cambridge when she received the call to THM .
Prof. Dr. As a human biologist, Conradt has focused primarily on the physiological interactions of sleep, breathing and circulation. In research, she is interested in treatment methods for sleep-disordered breathing and innovative diagnostic procedures, also with a view to the occurrence of nocturnal symptoms as a risk factor for dementia. She has addressed questions from these subject areas in many scientific publications.
