Prof. Dr.-Ing. Timo Nuyken has taken up his position at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen . He teaches at the Department Business Administration and Engineering in Friedberg. His areas of expertise are production management, lean management, and business simulation games.
Born in Essen, he completed his studies in Business Administration and Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin in 2009. The graduate engineer earned his doctorate in 2015 at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. His dissertation focused on the strategic orientation of business process management systems. At the laboratory, he was a group leader responsible for process management and lean management.
After completing his doctorate, Timo Nuyken began working as a project manager at a medical technology manufacturer in Berlin. At the time of his appointment at THM , he was Head of Global Master Data Management at the same company. In this role, he was responsible for establishing a department for global data management.
At THM , the 38-year-old would like to focus particularly on the practical teaching of course content in the simulation lab and the learning factory, and also promote exchange with local companies.
