The global economy needs raw materials such as petroleum, minerals and agricultural raw materials. But other resources such as knowledge or work are also needed to meet the ever-growing demand in wealthy countries like Germany.

The exhibition “Poor Despite Wealth” from Motives eV shows where the resources we consume come from and under what conditions they are exploited. It takes a look at the realities of people's lives at whose expense we afford our consumption-intensive lifestyles and gives suggestions as to what we could do to create greater equity in resources.

The exhibits offer a playful approach with many moving elements, peepholes, flaps, guessing games, puzzles or interactive cards and make the exhibition visit varied!

From the beginning of October to mid-December, you can learn more about the various topics at the Friedberg campus in front of Building B1 and in the city center near the town hall. The exhibits are open to the public.
