The word processing programme Word offers useful functions for scientific writing, such as format templates and automatic indexes. In the "Fit for Word" course, we will show you how you can effectively prepare your Word document for academic writing.

These topics are in the foreground:

  • Form and format of the document of your scientific work
  • List of contents, figures and tables
  • headers and footers
  • references
  • (formatting) sections
  • Important shortcuts
  • caching

Participants who have already started to create their document in Word will have the opportunity to revise their template during the event. Participants who have not yet created a document can develop a basic framework for their document.

Duration: 90 minutes
