By car
Coming from Kassel
From the A5, take the Reiskirchen exit and continue on the B49 to Berliner Platz (city center). You will see the new Giessen Town Hall on your right and the City Theater in front of you. At the traffic lights, turn right into Ostanlage . On the right-hand side, you will find the THMpresidium in buildings B10 and B11. Approximately 200 meters ahead, you will find other THMbuildings of the Department e, as well as the INFO office in building A22.
Coming from Marburg
From the B3 Giessen Nordkreuz motorway, take the Giessen Ring (A485) towards Frankfurt. Take the "Ursulum" exit. Turn left towards the University of Applied Sciences (TH Mittelhessen). Drive along Eichgärtenallee for approximately 1,000 meters into the city. Then turn right onto Ringallee. On the left, you will find the THMbuildings of the Department of Information Technology and, among other buildings, the INFO office in building A22.
Coming from Büdingen, Hanau, Würzburg
Take the A45 to the Giessen Südkreuz interchange, then merge onto the A485 towards Giessen . At exit 33 " Giessen Südkreuz," merge onto the A485 towards Marburg/ Giessen /Linden. Take the B457 exit toward GI-Licher Straße/Stadtmitte. Drive along Licher Straße. Continue on Molkestraße until you reach Ostanlage. The information desk is in building A22, as are other Department e buildings, on the right.
Coming from Butzbach, Frankfurt, Friedberg
Drive on the A485 to the Schiffenberger Weg exit. Then drive towards the city center, the Schiffenberger Weg leads to Bismarckstrasse. Drive to the south to the mouth. Turn right there. On the left you can see the city theater, the congress hall on the right. Drive straight into the Ostanlage. On the right is the presidium in buildings B10 and B11. About 200 meters in front of them are other buildings of Department E and info in the A22 building.
Coming from Wetzlar, Herborn
Leave the B49 at the Giessen -West exit, drive along Rodheimer Straße to the railway underpass, then turn right into Westanlage. Pass under the Elephant Toilet (Selterstor) and continue on Southanlage. At the Berliner Platz intersection (you'll see the City Theater on your left, the Congress Hall on your right), continue straight ahead into Ostanlage. The presidium is located on the right in buildings B10 and B11. Approximately 200 meters ahead are other THMbuildings of the Department e, as well as the INFO office in building A22.
parking facilities
There are public parking spaces around the THM campus that can be used with a parking disc or parking ticket. THMhas its own parking spaces on campus, which can be used with a chip card. THMvisitors can park in these parking lots. Please ring the bell at the barrier. Parking is shown on the campus map below.
With public transport
You can reach the THM from Giessen train station by bus line 2 (stop Berliner Platz) or line 5 (stop Behördenzentrum or Landgericht).
Berliner Platz stop
The THMcampus can be reached on foot in about 4 minutes from the Berliner Platz stop. Go right over the traffic lights in the direction of Ostanlage. Ostanlage straight out the east facility. After 350 meters you are on the THMcampus.
Public authority center stop
The authorities center stop is located in the immediate vicinity of the THMcampus. In the direction of travel to the right at the stop you will find the presidium in buildings B10 and B11. About 250 meters straight out in Wiesenstraße the buildings of Department E and info in the A22 building.
Landgericht stop
The THM campus can be reached from the district court stop in about 4 minutes on foot. Just go out at the district court against travel direction, after about 400 meters you are on the THM campus. On the left of Wiesenstrasse are the buildings of Department E and Info in Buildings A22 on the right.
