Prof. Dr. Christin Katharina Kreutz teaches in the mathematics, natural sciences and computer science department at THM .

With Christin Katharina Kreutz and Christian Baier, the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen ( THM ) has awarded two tandem professorships for the first time in the 2024 summer semester. They are already teaching while they are gaining practical experience.

The prerequisite for a HAW professorship is several years of professional experience. Half of the four-year tandem professorship consists of a full-time professorship at THM and another 50 percent of a position in an institute or company. Both employment relationships are regulated by a cooperation agreement in which tasks and roles are defined individually depending on the profile and professional focus.

Both Airbus and THM are working on averting threats to space systems - a lecture will highlight the state of the art.

Well over 40,000 man-made objects the size of a golf ball orbit the earth permanently: mostly non-functional satellites, disused rockets or their fragments. For space systems, they represent just as serious a risk as cyberattacks. Airbus experts will talk about protection against such threats on Tuesday, June 25th.
