Disinterested management of official business, with no personal benefit in mind, is one of the essential foundations of public service. The Hessian Ministry of the Interior and Sport has published regulations on preventing and fighting corruption.

In accordance with regulations, the Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences has appointed contact persons for corruption prevention. These persons report directly to the university administration.

Their duties include:

  • Information, advice and sensitization of the employees
  • Advice and support for the department management
  • Development of preventive measures
  • ad hoc advice

Everyone - whether employees, students or citizens - can and should contact the contact persons for corruption prevention if they suspect corrupt behavior. You can contact the contact persons by e-mail, in writing by means of a letter marked "confidential" or in person. The contact persons for corruption prevention are obliged to treat information received confidentially. This also and above all applies to the identity of the informant. However, this does not apply to the university management and the law enforcement bodies of the state (courts, public prosecutors) if they become aware of facts that justify the reasonable suspicion of a corruption offense.
