How many copies are I certified?
We certify a maximum of 5 copies. Please bring this with you. In its shop in building A10, the AStA offers a copy service for students.
Does the ZPA also certify the Friedberg campus?
No. The colleagues from the Study Secretariat are certifying on the Friedberg campus. Please note the one there office hours.

When are you entitled to duplicate copies?
Again and again it happens that a two -manage (secondary letter) of certificates and documents is necessary afterwards. Common cases for one claim:
- Loss of the certificate or the certificate.
- With all or partial destruction of the documents.
- When correcting false information in the certificate such as writing errors in the name, false birth dates, wrong birthplace.
What do I have to do to get a duplicate?

Is the duplicate liable for a fee?
Yes. In accordance with the currently valid fee schedule, secondary fonts are subject to a fee. The fee is currently 55 euros per document. You will receive a corresponding fee notification from this. After receipt of the fee in the account of the THM , the duplicate is made and sent to you by post.
Can I also get a two -man release free of charge?
Yes. If there is a sealed two -release with the corresponding original signatures in your file, a certified copy can be created. This copy can also be given a certification note. If you want a certified copy, you don't have to apply. Then an informal email is enough (This email address is being protected from spam bots! To display JavaScript must be turned on! ) to order. A certified copy is free of charge for you.
Name change
News of certificate when changing the name after a subsequent name change
After an ordinary name change z. B. by marriage, partnership or similar?
No. In the event of an ordinary name changes (e.g. by marriage, life partnership or the like), no secondary publication is created.
When are I entitled to a new exhibition of certificate documents due to subsequent name changes?
Whenever there is a particularly worthy of protection for them. This is the case, for example
- Adoptions,
- Changes in name in connection with the Violence Act (e.g. Victims of Violence or Stalking) or
- If the civil status is changed (and thus the first name) in transident persons
Am I protected against revelation or research my former name?
Yes. Your name is changed accordingly and these changes are documented in your file. In this case, your original final documents must be collected from us. Your certificate documents are re -issued to the original date of exhibition and signed by the or the president currently in office, dean/dean or examination committee chairman etc. (with a current seal). Due to their particularly protective interest, their certificate documents should not be recognizable that they were originally on a different name.
What do I have to submit for this application in addition to the OA application for a secondary publication?
The final decision of the district court must be submitted for this.

What is a foreign legalization?
Foreigning abroad is a certification of documents for submission abroad. Public German documents are often only recognized abroad if they are legalized by the respective foreign representation and are confirmed.
Who will give me a pre -certification?
The Central Examination Office issues you to prerequisite for foreign legalization.
What role does the Gießen regional council have here?
The Gießen Regional Council basically certifies all public documents issued in its area of responsibility, which are intended for use abroad, unless the responsibility is given.
Before legalization is possible, the documents must be certified by various German authorities beforehand. A number of countries have joined the "Hague Convention to exempt foreign public documents from legalization". It is sufficient for these countries if the required certificate from a responsible German authority - in Hesse, these are the regional councils - with a so -called apostille. With this apostille, the German certificate is recognized directly abroad.
