  Declaration of Originality

By submitting their examination work, THM students implicitly confirm that they have completed it independently. All sources (e.g., figures, images, texts) and aids (e.g., software, AI systems) used in the creation of the work must be named, and all direct or indirect quotations and quotations must be clearly identified. This is regulated by  Section 11a paragraph 1 of the General Provisions for Bachelor's Examination Regulations, which came into effect in the summer semester of 2024. In addition to this, we now offer you a "Overview of permissible AI applications in written exams" as well as a "Recommendation on the labeling of AI in written examinations" with the associated template of a "university-wide declaration of independence" These help to clarify the use and handling of AI in written assessments such as term papers, theses and seminar papers (not in exams).

The examiners decide on the use of the documents, and the module coordinators determine the content – with the exception of the theses, which are determined in consultation with the examiners. The use of the documents should initially be understood as a recommendation for a trial run, which will be evaluated.
