AI and exams

 * English Translations of the documents:
-   Overview of the Admissibility of Ai Applications in Written Examinations
  Declaration of Originality

By submitting their examination performance, students implicitly assure THM that they have completed it independently. All sources (e.g. numbers, images, texts) and aids (e.g. software, AI systems) used to create the work must be named and all literal or analogous copies and quotations must be identified. This regulates   § 11a Paragraph 1 of the General Provisions for Bachelor Examination Regulations, which came into force in the summer semester of 2024. In addition, we now offer you one "Overview of the permissible use of AI in written examinations" as well as a "Recommendation for labeling AI in written exams" with the corresponding template “university declaration of independence” to. These help to clarify the use and handling of AI in written examinations such as term papers, theses and seminar papers (not in exams).

The examiners decide on the application of the documents and those responsible for the module determine the content - the exception is the theses, where this is done in coordination with the examiners. The use of the documents should initially be understood as a recommendation for a test run that will be evaluated.
