Aim of the project funded as part of the federal and state programme "FH Personal". Paths to a HAW professorship is to make the career path of the HAW professorship more visible and attractive, to make the entry conditions for new professors more flexible and to implement sustainable funding and support structures at the THM .
The project: planned measures
The project is divided into three different areas.
The first area takes the Qualification for a HAW professorship and is therefore primarily aimed at excellently qualified graduates as well as doctoral students and post-docs. As part of the project, a scouting pool is to be created to specifically address talented students. By establishing permanent cooperations with partners from the business world, doctoral students and postdocs should be able to gain the practical and teaching experience they need for a later appointment. In addition, it should be examined whether it is possible to find a more flexible definition and design of the scientific achievements required for professorship.
The second area of the project deals with creation new types of HAW professorship. The aim is to increase the flexibility and attractiveness of the career path of a HAW professorship via shared professorship and profile professorship models.
The third project area should Support offers for newly appointed HAW professorships coordinate and establish fixed structures in this regard. The plan is to introduce an onboarding programme and a programme for collegial advice. In addition, a support offer for the professional career of the partners of the newly appointed is to be developed with a concept for dual careers.
In all project areas, women should be addressed in particular in order to increase the proportion of women in the area of highly qualified personnel.
