Vision: Our contribution to the future derives from the (training) education of our talents with regard to shaping sustainable global development. By this we mean practical, needs-based teaching and learning opportunities that are interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary, problem-solving and skill-enhancing - in line with the sustainability goals of the United Nations and the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) – aligned. We promote student commitment and equal opportunities, live diversity and enable the transfer of knowledge between society and the university.
mission statement: When designing and implementing sustainable teaching, we are guided by the following principles:
- We support teachers and accompany students and other groups of actors in acting responsibly in the sense of the sustainability goals, in thinking creatively and solution-oriented and thus in developing the technical and interdisciplinary skills that are required to participate in processes and projects of sustainable development.
- We promote lifelong, practical and application-oriented learning.
- We do justice to the heterogeneity of the students with diverse, flexible and up-to-date teaching/learning offers as well as advice and support offers and thus contribute to equal opportunities.
