The most important tasks of the press and public relations team are internal and external communication as well as the outward representation of the THM. There are currently two main sections: Press Office and Central Events & Marketing.
The press office's services include:

- writing, editing and distributing press releases
- Editorial staff of the magazine "THMmagazine"
- press evaluation / press reviews
- writing and editing speeches
- media training for university staff
