Social media have become an integral part of our daily life. For the THM , too, social media portals offer new chances and opportunities to exchange opinions and experiences with students and teachers and to provide information about current affairs. The social media channels of the THM are used as information channels and are used for the mutual exchange of opinions between students, lecturers and employees. The THM is currently represented on six official social media channels. In addition to the main THMchannels, many departments, institutions and THMprojects have their own social media channels.  

If you would like to put your own profile for your Department or other institution, you are in the Social Media Manual Appropriate information available. Facebook is the largest social network in the world. Facebook users are registered with a personal profile and can connect and share with friends, colleagues, family and others by posting content, photos, videos, recommendations and links to websites. Companies, city portals and other organizations can also set up a Facebook fan page.  


Instagram
Instagram logoInstagram is a free smartphone app that allows users to create and share photos and videos. On Instagram you have the option of adding a hashtag/term to your posted images in order to assign the image to a specific topic.

YouTube is a platform of Google Inc., the offers the possibility to view, upload and rate videos. Xing is a business network for professional contacts. On Xing, the user has the opportunity to make new business contacts, manage their own contacts, subscribe to job offers, exchange ideas in industry-specific or interest-related groups and take part in events. Registration and use of the basic functions is free of charge. In addition to personal profiles, Xing offers the option of creating and managing a company profile.
