teacher training
The School &THM Contact Point, in cooperation with the Justus Liebig University Giessen , offers regular Further education courses on the topic of "Knowledge about studying today."
In the heterogeneous group of our students, we see a large number of life plans with different needs that the current university system does not always meet: professional support, for example, the compatibility of family and studies or the desire to actively participate in solving social challenges. The last major change in our study models, the Bologna reform, was about 20 years ago. Many universities are now working towards adapting to the different needs of their students: They are creating new study models through decentralized further development of study structures and innovative ideas. Some aim to break down barriers that stand in the way of successful studies. Others enable students to work on future topics in an interdisciplinary manner. In the teacher training course "Knowledge about studying today" these topics are addressed and an initial overview is given.
All teachers from grammar schools, vocational grammar schools and technical colleges (e.g. BO coordinators) are invited to Further education. In addition, we warmly welcome representatives of the two participating universities who are interested in the topic of study orientation and who would like to deal intensively with the transition from school to university.
