Artificial Intelligence – Problem Solver or Problem Creator?

This question can't really be answered here either. However, a better understanding of AI can help you participate in discussions and perhaps even shape the future. Or would you prefer someone else to do it for you?

In this workshop, we want to try to give you a better understanding of the technical aspects of the topic. Because those who understand how it works can hopefully make better decisions than those who don't...

ChatGPT was on everyone's lips, Face ID is state-of-the-art. What's behind it all? - Okay, computers, algorithms, and data. But how exactly does it work?
In this workshop, we'll help you build a basic facial recognition system so that everyone in your group can be identified. Your group will record a short video on-site to show the AI what your faces look like. Add your names, and we've got everything we need! We'll then watch the AI learn to make the right connections between faces and names. Initially,
the AI will have some difficulties, but after a while, it will be able to reliably identify each and every one of you.
Hands-on experience helps you understand how it works. Of course, we'll also discuss the opportunities and risks of this technology.
