In the basic physics laboratory, students from various Degree Courses carry out independent experiments on various physics topics. The experiments cover a wide range of phenomena in mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, optics and atomic physics. The students not only learn the basic physics, but also basic methods of scientific work.
Among other things:
- the planning and implementation of the experiments
- the targeted use of various measuring instruments and electronics to record and digitize measurement data
- the documentation and evaluation of the results.
The laboratory offers students practical access to physics and creates technical and methodological foundations for their further training. Students can try out this laboratory work in teams of 2-3 people using selected experiments. Experiments that fit the current curriculum or are of particular interest can be selected from an extensive list. You are welcome to express your wishes for further experiments, which can then be implemented individually if necessary.
