Chemistry exchange

Which teaching methods have become established in chemistry in school lessons and prove to be didactically valuable? To what extent can diverse experiments still be integrated in a targeted manner to provide support?
In what direction could university teaching develop, especially for basic chemistry modules (chemistry as a minor subject), if the lack of time and the resulting "didactic reduction" for students and teachers present themselves as an ever-increasing challenge?

In order to ensure more transparency with regard to these questions, Dr. Fröhlich, university teacher for the subject chemistry, go into didactic exchange with teachers.

Further education on didactic methods in university teaching is usually not tailored to scientific subjects, which often makes it difficult to implement it in your own teaching. She would like to discuss with you which teaching methods work for specific chemical topics and how we convey an overarching approach to chemistry to students.

At the meeting she also gives an overview of how high the proportion of chemistry is in individual Degree Courses at THM

Dr. Christine Fröhlich studied chemistry in Giessen and has been a volunteer experimenter at the Liebig Museum (experimental lectures) since 2016.
