Visit to the observatory of the Trebur Astronomy Foundation
The Trebur Astronomy Foundation operates one of the largest telescopes in Germany. The Treburer 1 meter telescope is also used for guided tours of visitors.
It is one of the largest publicly accessible telescopes in Europe, which is also used for visual observation. Anyone can look through the telescope with their own eyes and see the moon, the planets and many other celestial objects for themselves.
We introduce the observatory and also offer lectures on various astronomical topics, for example on topics such as:
- Why are telescopes used?
- How do telescopes work?
- What is observed and measured with the foundation's telescope?
- Discoveries that were made with the Trebur telescope.
If the weather is suitable, observations with the Treburer 1 meter telescope are also planned.
