Like hardly any other area in engineering, the railway is an extremely complex system. It requires interdisciplinary cooperation, intensive communication and the development of innovative solutions. The railway system offers future-proof and interesting jobs. The course in railway engineering deals with the subject areas of railway operations and vehicles, control and safety technology, maintenance of railway systems and much more. An essential component of the course is the close integration with companies in the railway sector.
As part of the "try studying" programme, we offer both teachers and students a first insight into the world of rail. There is a tour of our signal and driving simulation laboratory in order to convey the railway system in a clear and understandable way. The driving simulation laboratory deals with the development and creation of training simulators using modern technologies of graphic data processing. The signal laboratory serves to support courses in the field of railway operations and control and safety technology. In addition, all participants have the opportunity to take part in an excursion. This enables an exciting and practical insight into the railway sector.
