This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) will explore various dimensions of internationalisation
in university-level language courses. Key questions include: What types of projects can be
integrated into language courses to provide students with authentic opportunities for
communication in an international context? And what learning outcomes can be expected from
such projects, particularly with regard to language, intercultural, and collaborative
competences?

The programme will take the form of a thematic week, featuring a series of workshops, talks, and
participant-led contributions. It will highlight the potential and diversity of internationalisation in
language education, with a focus on both pedagogical innovation and institutional practice.

Target group are primarily language teachers and teaching staff at university
language centres, as well as educational developers and specialists in
higher education teaching and learning who are involved in the planning and
conceptualisation of courses.
