The Study and Business Support Group

The Study and Business Support Group has become an established network for corporate and individual members that:

• strengthens the practical and application-oriented nature of business studies at the THM’s departement of Economics
• the companies and institutions of the economy in the region with their specific requirements into the work of the departement and
• Maintains and promotes the interaction between business practice and business studies through contact between current and former students of the departement and the companies and institutions of the economy in the region.

This is achieved through numerous activities organized or supported by the support group. These include: 

• Event of the Practice Forum (annual event on current business topics)
• Organization and financing of the graduation ceremonies
• Promotion of the company fair and the summer festival of the departement
• Support for the freshmen breakfast or snack 
• Printing of the image brochure “Study & Practice” of the departement of Economics
• Organization and financing of excursions, lectures, workshops, etc.

The minimum annual membership fee for the Förderkreis Studium und Wirtschaft (Study and Business Support Group) is €20 for individual members and €300 for corporate members. In return, members receive the following service benefits:

• Free subscription to the departement journal “Studium & Praxis”, which reports on activities and innovations at the departement and in the field
• Free participation in specialist lectures on current business and education-related issues 
• Invitation to the alumni meeting, which serves to establish and expand a network for personal career development
• reduced participation fee for the annual practice forum
• Suggestion of activities of the support group at the general meetings

• Free participation in specialist lectures on current business and education-related issues

• Invitation to honor the graduates of the departement at a graduation ceremony with reception
• Recommendation of particularly high-performing graduates in the recruitment process
• Involvement in the departement 's training activities through the assignment of practical thesis topics, deployment of PS interns in company projects
